Reusable, Returnable, Sustainable Swing Top Bottles

What makes our custom-made swing top bottles so special you might ask? Great question! Let’s start with what a swing top bottle is:

What is a swing top glass bottle?

The swing top glass bottle, also called flip-top, EZ-cap, or Quillfeldt stopper (after the inventor, Charles de Quillfeldt) is a type of closure frequently used for bottles containing carbonated beverages, such as beer or mineral water. The mouth of the bottle is sealed by a stopper, usually fitted with a rubber gasket and held in place by a set of wires. The bottle can be opened and resealed repeatedly and without the use of a bottle opener, with the wires acting in the same way as a latch clamp.

Why We Love the Swing Top Glass Bottles

First, swing top bottles are normally thicker and stronger than regular bottles, they accept lots of pressure when filled, which makings it perfect for carbonating beverages like your favorite Jun kombucha drink, beer brewery etc.

Second, these factors give the swing top bottle fantastic functionality while remaining a reliable clean drinking vessel.

Last but most important there, resealable, reusable, recyclable, returnable and have a strong molded cap with replaceable rubber seal.

A glass bottle is recycled, reusable, this is no doubt. But how about the closures? Not all closures are resealed or reusable. For example, the twist off lids for food storage glass jars, once the seal is broken, cannot be reused.

However, the swing top closure is so special, the bottle can be opened and resealed repeatedly and without the use of a bottle opener.

Conclusion

Whether you’re looking for an innovative way to be more sustainable in your own life or just sharing good habits with those who you love, our swing top bottles are a great alternative to traditional kombucha bottles or reusable containers you might use for storing your Junbucha.
